As you head into battle in Fortnite, you will always be flying in by hanging or surfing on some kind of glider. These cosmetics are quite impactful as you make your dramatic entrance into the fray! There's been quite a few of these over the years, and inevitably some of them have gotten lost in the shuffle. We'll be taking a look at what the rarest gliders are in Fortnite in this post.
It's important to note that just because something is rare does not make it good. I see a lot of players seem to value rarity over whether they even like a certain cosmetic! Always try to lean towards a cosmetic that you like, rather than valuing one because it is rare. However, if you find that rare cosmetics give you joy, then by all means collect as many as possible!
Season 1 Gliders
Both the Aerial Assault One and Mako gliders were apart of the initial season of Fortnite. This was a totally different type of thing, and it wasn't until season 2 where we standardized things much more. Instead of purchasing a battle pass, you would level up in the season and get the chance to purchase different cosmetics based on that level. Aerial Assault One only required five levels, so it's more likely that people got a chance to buy it. The Mako glider required you to be season level 25, which was much further along, and likely makes it more rare. So, it's likely that the rarest glider in Fortnite is the Mako.

Top 50 Rarest Gliders
Here's our list of the top 50 Rarest Gliders in the game based on the last time they were seen in the item shop. This is really just the best method to at least put some logic behind figuring out which glider is the rarest. There's no official numbers released on purchases when it comes to cosmetics, so any list is just going to be compiled purely on speculation and anecdotal evidence. You will notice a theme with the majority of these, which is they are all rated fairly low. That's a good indicator to why you haven't seen them in the shop that often. Epic very likely only places cosmetics into the Item Shop often if they sell well. Items that don't sell well very rarely return to the shop!
Holiday gliders have been excluded from the list, because they pretty much always return on their designated holiday.
