With any game launch, there are bound to be bugs and errors that occur. New World recently launched and has seen a massive influx of players which has revealed more error codes. One of these is the character creation disabled error. You might be wondering how to fix this error.
To fix the character creation disabled error, you will either have to try and join another server or wait until the server is not full. The error reads, "Character creation temporarily disabled on this server to prevent overpopulation," which means the server is full.

Amazon Games has steadily been adding new servers to solve server overpopulation and plans to implement a way to transfer your character to another server. Some servers still face overpopulation which is causing this error. Amazon has stated that characters made before seeing the error code will not be affected, and those players can still log in.
So if you see this error, simply move to a different server and create your character there. Unfortunately, if your friends are on another server, they won't play with you until server transfer has been added, which Amazon will allow being done for free the first time.
